In2019, protestsagainstametrofareincreaseinSantiago, Chile, developedintoamasssocio-politicalmovementthatspreadacrossthewholecountry.Artist Voluspa Jarpa explores this uprising against social inequality and the violent response of the state.Jarpa uses a combination of maps, statistics, and drawings — including X-ray images — to reveal the extent of state violence.It becomes clear that security forces deliberately caused eye injuriesby aiming rubber bullets at protesters' heads.A total of 460 people suffered eye injuries, some of them severe.
