In his 1993 installation, X-Ray, Hans Kupelwieser cast an adjustable wrench in concrete and made itvisible again as an X-ray image on a light box.This piece plays with the transition between visibility and invisibility, allowing viewers to experience both simultaneously.Thus, Kupelwieser unfoldsa sculptural discourse on materiality, representationalism and human perception.Ultimately, hisconceptualartleavesopenthequestionofwhetherthetoolisactuallyintheconcreteslab.
From Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd August, the FERRA Festival will bring techno to our entire open-air site.
However, the water tower with the permanent exhibition ‘MOTION POWERS HISTORY’, the pump house with the sound installation by Emeka Ogboh, and the blower and compressor hall with the major exhibition ‘X-RAY’ will remain open throughout at a reduced price of 9 euros.
