World Heritage Special – Guided tour of the Sintering cooler

This guided tour is only available in German.

The new discovery trail through the sinter round cooler and the sinter dedusting plant: the walk up to the upper level of the mixing hall is an adventure in itself, offering a glimpse into parts of the Völklinger Hütte’s industrial buildings that were previously inaccessible, as well as spectacular views of the blast furnace complex.

Anyone who has walked through the heart of the plant, at lofty heights and within sight of the wind heaters, who has climbed the stairs there and passed the long inclines between the conveyor belts, will not forget this experience in a hurry!

The Discovery Trail is currently accessible as part of guided tours and is recommended only for those who are mobile.
