Description

The photo reporter Lu Guang (*1961) is concerned with the socio-economic and ecological problems of China, his home country, and shows the effects of humans on their environment. Through his work, Lu Guang produces a valuable documentation of the consequences of exploiting geo-resources and the associated environmental destruction.
More coal is mined and consumed in industrial China than in any other nation worldwide, without regard for collateral damage to the environment and population. In impressive photographs, the artist records the world of those who live and work in these industrial landscapes.
