A Journey Through the Dark Side of the City

In the decade from 2010 onwards, Unknown Fields undertook a total of thirteen expeditions behind the scenes of the "contemporary city". Unknown Fields views this "city" as a huge network of scarcely tangible systems that permeate everything.
Unknown Fields travel around the world with documentary film equipment, hidden cameras, drones and sound recording devices to capture the extraordinary transformations that this networked city and its technologies have set in motion. These landscapes are combined by Unknown Fields into a road movie through this newly conceives city with a continuous spanning the whole earth.
